Enjoy the excitement of a high powered speedboat trip, or take it more easy on a leisurely cruise aboard the Jubilee Queen to see the stunning coastline.

Padstow is famous for its beautiful beaches and bays. It would be easy to visit a different one every day of the week. Our closest, Trevone and Harlyn are only a few miles away and both offer great parking, refreshments and public conveniences.

Harlyn’s long sandy bay is great for the whole family, perfect for swimming, surfing and sun bathing. Take the passenger ferry across to Rock to spend the day walking across the soft sand to Polzeath.

Constantine Bay is a truly beautiful beach, its long stretch of sand is backed by dramatic dunes. This popular family beach is fantastic for rock pooling, with lots of interesting wildlife to be found at low tide.

With the influence of famous and accomplished chefs, Padstow is an established gastronomic hotspot. Stroll down to the harbour in the evening and experience the relaxed family atmosphere. Camel Creek, a fun packed family theme park, is only a short drive away. Flambards Theme Park is a great day out for everyone, with exhilarating rides, educational exhibitions and family entertainment.

Newquay Zoo is a fantastic place where adults and children alike can discover animals from all over the world. A particular favourite is the atmospheric tropical house and the comical penguin pool. Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay offers a fascinating look at native and tropical marine species. Its amazing underwater tunnel will give you a unique view of the ocean.

Taking a sea safari from Padstow Harbour may reward you with a fantastic sighting of anything from basking sharks, dolphins and seals, to guillemots, razorbills and puffins. Paradise Park gives you the chance to meet many colourful birds including rare and beautiful parrots, flamingos and toucans. Built in a disused clay mine and transformed into global gardens with impressive Mediterranean and Rainforest biomes, educational core, outdoor gardens and much more.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan was voted the Nation’s favourite garden. Step back in time and explore this estate garden, lovingly brought back to life after decades of neglect. Stroll through the pleasure grounds into the walled productive gardens and down to the secluded jungle.

Padstow Holidays | Discover Cornwall

The location of Padstow Holiday Park is ideal for exploring the whole of Cornwall. There are many beautiful towns and villages an easy drive away. Newquay has been a popular holiday destination for many years, due to its fantastic location, great visitor attractions and surfing appeal. Tintagel and Boscastle are two stunningly unique towns packed with Cornish beauty and history.

Wadebridge is a bustling rural town with a wide range of shops and amenities, where you can take a break and relax at one of the many cafés, pubs or restaurants or enjoy time browsing the independent shops along the high street.

Rock is only 15 miles away by road, or after walking the mile into Padstow you can take the passenger ferry across the estuary. From here you can also walk up the beach to Polzeath. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin, is a beautiful destination for a day trip.

The city of Truro makes a great day out, especially for those who love to shop, with cobbled streets, magnificent cathedral and a mix of high street and independent shops. Truro also offers a great motorhome friendly park and ride.

St Ives, Falmouth, Penzance and Fowey are just a few of the other wonderful towns to visit, all making a great day trip from our park.

Padstow Holidays | Walk | Ride | Surf

Walk

Our location is perfect for walking on your Padstow holidays, so there is no need to use your car to be able to explore the area. Padstow Holiday Park is just one mile from Padstow which can be walked along a public footpath. So whether you are visiting the town during the day or soaking up the evening atmosphere you won’t need to think about parking.

The South West Coast Path is 630 miles in total, but the three parts of the path in our area are Port Isaac to Padstow, Padstow to Porthcothan and Porthcothan to Newquay. Each of these sections is 10-12 miles and include some truly beautiful and unspoilt parts of the unique Cornish coast, where the breath-taking views are well worth the effort but shorter sections can be walked too. The coastal bus route from Padstow to Newquay makes one way walks really convenient

The route of the Saint’s Way, based upon ancient trade routes, takes you through the complete spectrum of Cornish landscape including harbours, rugged cliff tops, inland tors, uplands and the China Clay country. Starting on the North Coast at Padstow the path meanders inland following the Camel Estuary into Central Cornwall and ends on the South Coast at stunning Fowey.

Ride

The Camel Trail provides easy access to the beautiful Cornish countryside as the multi-use route for walking, cycling and horse riding. It follows the disused railway line alongside the spectacular Camel Estuary. The 18 miles of recreational trail are mainly traffic free and offer striking contrasts in scenery and an opportunity to visit the towns of Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin along the way.

The magnificent woodlands of the Camel Valley between Wadebridge and Poley’s Bridge provide a striking landscape for visitors and a habitat for varied wildlife. Bodmin has many tourist attractions including a steam railway, town museum, award-winning courtroom experience and spooky Bodmin Jail.

If you don’t have your own bikes it is easy to hire them from the cycle hire centres in Padstow, for a fantastic outdoor adventure.

Surf

Why not learn how to surf during your Padstow holidays, with numerous surf schools teaching people of all abilities. If surfing is not for you, there are many other outdoor activities to consider, including kayaking, kite surfing, sailing and coasteering.
